About Pandemic Watch
Pandemic Watch is an independent tracker of infectious disease outbreaks. We collect verified reports from the World Health Organization, national health agencies, and major newsrooms so you can see what's happening in one place — without scrolling five different sites or trusting a single outlet.
What you'll find here
- A live dashboard summarizing currently-active outbreaks with case counts, locations, and source attribution
- An outbreak map showing where each event is unfolding right now
- Curated press coverage so a single story can be cross-checked against multiple newsrooms
- Plain-language reference guides explaining what a Disease Outbreak News bulletin actually means
What we don't do
- Provide medical advice. We are not clinicians. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional.
- Speculate beyond what authorities publish. When sources disagree, we surface the disagreement rather than pick a winner.
- Track or sell your activity. We don't run analytics that profile visitors.
Who reads this
Travelers checking on their destination, journalists fact-checking a story, public-health curious readers who want a calm overview rather than an alarming feed, and clinicians who want a fast cross-reference between WHO and national authorities. The site is free to read; ads on a few pages fund the hosting and the time we spend keeping the feeds tuned.
Sources we cite
See our data sources for the full list of authorities and newsrooms feeding the dashboard, plus a description of what each one contributes.
Disclaimers
Counts may lag the most recent official statement during rapidly evolving events. For clinical decisions, always go to the originating authority. Pandemic Watch is informational and is not medical advice.
