Ebola 1996 - Ebola haemorrhagic fever in Gabon (new outbreak) - Update 3

21 October 1996 Disease Outbreak Reported An additional case of Ebola haemorrhagic fever was reported 19 October. The patient was a member of the same family as two previous cases in Booué and was identified among the contacts being followed up. The total number of cases as at 19 October was 19 of which 11 were fatal; 86 contacts remained under surveillance.
